You're already turning away
the easiest money in your shop.
Your customers ask you to help sell their cars all the time. Most shops say no, because selling cars sounds like inventory, debt, and risk. So the deal walks out the door. It doesn't have to.
Service Revenue Is Capped
You can only bill as many hours as you have bays and techs. Growing means more space, more people, more overhead.
Your Customers Sell Elsewhere
They trade in for less than it's worth or list it themselves and get lowballed. The deal leaves your building.
Buying Cars Is a Cash Trap
Cash tied up, floorplan interest, and cars you have to move. One bad buy wipes out months of margin.
Selling Feels Risky
Titles, payoffs, and disclosures keep most shops from even trying.
No Sales Team
You're built to fix cars, not sell them. Hiring a salesperson means new cost and a new role to manage.
The Consignment Model
Sell the car.
Never own it.
With consignment, the customer keeps ownership and you handle the sale. You take the car in, get it ready, list it, and close it. When it sells, you earn a fee. If it doesn't, it goes back to the owner. No cash out, no inventory on your books.
Zero Inventory Risk
You never buy the car. The owner holds the asset; you control the sale.
Uses the Staff You Have
Your service advisor already talks to the customer. The scripts and SOPs cover the rest.
Earn on More Than the Sale
Recon work in your own bays at your own rates, plus the consignment fee.
A Playbook That Keeps Growing
Start with the foundation, then get new lessons, scripts, and SOPs every month as your desk grows.

One Membership.
Your Whole Team.
Consignment Academy is built for independent auto service centers. It works because it runs on the people you already have, each doing what they're already good at.
Shop Owners
Growth without new overhead
You've built the trust and the customer base. Consignment turns that into a revenue stream that doesn't need more bays, more techs, or more debt.
- Add revenue without buying inventory
- No new hires required
- Keep customers in your building
Service Managers & GMs
Running the process
You keep the shop running on process. The membership gives you the SOPs, checklists, and deal flow to run a consignment desk the same way.
- Step-by-step SOPs for every deal
- Recon scheduled in your own bays
- Track every car from intake to payout
Service Advisors
Already talking to the customer
You hear "I'm thinking about selling this" every week. Short lessons and ready-made scripts show you how to turn that conversation into a consignment deal.
- Intake scripts that aren't pushy
- 4–7 minute lessons between cars
- A clear hand-off at every step

Dan
25 Years in the Car Business
Built from real execution.
Not whiteboard theory.
There are plenty of gurus selling "get rich in cars" courses. This isn't one of them.
Dan spent 25 years in the car business: leasing first, then retail sales starting in 2008, then a full move to consignment in 2018, when he got tired of tying up cash in inventory.
He's run a lean consignment operation with a one- or two-person team ever since. Nobody was teaching service shops how to do it, so he's writing the process down. Consignment Academy is that process, and founding members get it first.
Battle-Tested Process
Every script, agreement, and SOP comes from deals Dan has actually run.
Built for Lean Teams
Designed to run with one or two people, not a sales floor.
What Changes in Your Shop
You won't just understand consignment. You'll have a working desk, a documented process, and a team that knows how to run it.
- Take in consignment cars from your own service customers
- Add a revenue stream with no inventory and no floorplan
- Set a fee structure that pays you for the work
- Turn "I'm thinking about selling" into a signed agreement
- Sell recon work in your own bays on every deal
- Run intake, photos, and listings the same way every time
- Protect your shop with the right agreements and paperwork
- Hand the process to your advisor so it doesn't land on your desk

Your customers are going to sell their cars either way. The only question is whether you're part of the deal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about how the membership works.
When does Consignment Academy open?
Soon. We're opening to the founding waitlist first, and everyone on the list hears about it before the public does.
What does it cost to join the waitlist?
Nothing. No credit card. You'll get early access and updates as we build.
How much will the membership cost?
It'll be a monthly membership, and pricing goes to the waitlist first. Founding members get the foundation modules the day we open, then a new module every month with new scripts, templates, and SOPs. Lessons run 4–7 minutes so your team can watch them between cars.
Do I need a dealer license?
Selling vehicles for others is regulated, and the rules vary by state. Some shops get their own license; others work under a licensed partner. The membership covers both paths and how to choose. It doesn't teach you to skip licensing.
We've never sold a car. Is that a problem?
No. The process is written for service people, not salespeople. Your advisor already knows how to talk to customers; the scripts and SOPs cover the rest.
Does this work in every state?
The consignment model works nationwide. Titling, payoff, and disclosure rules vary, so we teach the framework and show you what to check locally.
Do I need to hire anyone or add space?
No. The model runs on an existing advisor or manager. Cars are photographed and listed online, so you don't need a showroom or a lot.
How much time will it take?
Plan on a few hours in the first month to get set up. After that, a desk running one or two cars a month fits inside a normal service week.
